Talking Turkey – Think Positively to Attract the Life You Want

Ok. It’s December, so let’s talk turkey! Are you a chronic worrier? Do you spend a large part of your day worried about all of the negative things that may happen, could happen, or are about to happen, to your relationship, your career, your health or your financial situation? Do you spend a large part of your day telling yourself negative stories about any of these areas of your life?

If you do, we’d better talk turkey, because whatever story you have been telling yourself about any area of your life is a direct reflection of whatever is happening for you right now in that area. Yep, you have created whatever you have in front of you, and you have created it with your thoughts. Einstein said it the best: “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”

You see, you can actually create some very negative “coming attractions” by worrying, because your feelings are your point of attraction. So if you are feeling negative about your finances, your relationships, your job or your health, you are going to attract more negativity. Yep— you actually do create your own reality. How? Well, in every single minute of every day, you are surrounded by an energetic, magnetic field of thought—yours and everyone else’s. This energy field is called the universal mind and it operates according to the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction states very simply that like attracts like. So if you are sending negative feeling thoughts out into this field, you will attract negative people, events and experiences into your life. And the opposite is true of course. So try to become aware of what you are thinking in every moment so that you may attract positive experiences, you may attract the life you want.

I know, I know, I can hear you all now— saying, “That’s impossible Lauren! How can I do that when I am sending out sixty thousand thoughts a day?”  You can start by paying attention to the way that you feel, and when you catch yourself feeling negative or worrying, just ask yourself the question, “So what do I want?” Yep—you can start using this handy little phrase like a re-set button every time you feel negative. Then, after you have asked your self that question, answer it, in that moment.

Here is what happens when you do. When you change your words, you actually change your vibration! Yep—when you go from what you don’t want, to what you do want, you change your words and you change your vibration. And guess what else? You also change your results, in that very moment! How do I know that? I know that because I know that as human beings we can only hold one vibration at a time, that is, we cannot be both positive and negative at the same time!

So start using this handy little re-set button to re-set your feelings whenever you are feeling sad, worried, or depressed, because in the process, you will develop the happy habit of thinking positively and attracting more of what you want. Keep the phrase “So, what do I want? “ in your back pocket to help you stop the unhappy habit of worrying—do that and I will stop talking turkey!
